Road crossing – an art or a pain?

This post is dedicated to one of my best buds who claims to be one of the best road crossers (might I add that this friend ended up denting a bajaj scooter once while crossing the road.) I salute you!

So here is the thing, I am not very good at road crossing. (I repeat I am NOT six) ( I can cross residential roads n all I'm not THAT pathetic!) Anyway, my friends think I should practise crossing. But I'm smart, I have this plan which works most of the times. See I have this tall friend (hehe!) and everytime I need to cross I jus leave the crossing part to my friend. But theres a problem, I dont have too many tall friends andI'm generally exposed to one side of the traffic.( Now u know why I like one-ways). So I thought I could improvise my plan.So im thinking all I need now is another tall friend , maybe two incase one falls sick. And voila all my traffic troubles are gone! (told u I was smart) So heres how my ad will read

WANTED : One tall person with good traffic sense and good eye sight. Should be able to make conversation during the period of the road crossing. Should be willing to risk his/her life for short delightful people. (ME) Should maintain good hand hygiene. If interested contact pp.

Hey I m paying for the ad might as well ask for the best.If everything fails will just buy two of those humungous red STOP signs.

Bajaj scooter...ahh so you are a Desi ?????? cant believe it.
I shall try answering in hindi :).
Now that I check your profile again, I didnt realise you had hindi movies listed too. I guess my eyes never went anywhere except the music section :). Interesting, interesting...
I am still trying to see this clearly. You actually spent time in writing about road crossing ?

But I have to comment whatever you write simply because of our like music tastes :).

anyways, here is some technical advice to be self-independent :

1. Always use Pedestrian Crossings. I know thr are not many in India, but still be as close to one !
2. Avoid crossing between parked cars.
3. Do not cross in places where traffic cannot see you.
4. Always be safe be seen. Wear bright clothing during both the hours of darkness and daylight as visibility is a problem all year round.
